Frequency of Opium Addiction with Ischemic Stroke Patients and Comparing Their Cerebrovascular Doppler Ultrasound Alternations to Non-Addicts
Background: Ischemic stroke is a major cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. Various studies on the etiology of this disease are in progress. Some studies have suggested that opium abuse may is associated with increased risk of ischemic stroke. The present study aimed to analyze the frequency of opium addiction and to compare cerebrovascular ultrasound patients’ changes to non-addicts. Me...
متن کاملO-37: Yolk Sac Diameter and Embryonic Heart Rate As Prognostic Factors of First Trimester Spontaneous Miscarriage
Background: During the past 20 years a lot of information is achieved about the first trimester of pregnancy through ultrasound and intrauterine fertilization. Many researchers tried to use the symptoms of ultrasound in early pregnancy like measuring the gestational sac and yolk sac of the pregnancy to predict the continuation of pregnancy. Aim of the recent study is to predict the risk of spon...
متن کاملThe Role of Three Dimensional Transvaginal Ultrasound in Detection of Intrauterine Device Displacement in Post Caesarean Section: A Case Report
Intrauterine Devices (IUDs) are used as an efficient and inexpensive method of contracep¬tion. Contraceptive efficacy depends on the intrauterine location of IUD and intrauterine displacement of the IUD leads to decreased contraceptive efficacy. Expulsion of IUD and its penetration into myometrium is one of the complications of IUD. In cases where IUDs are not detected by ultrasound method, in ...
متن کاملOnm-13: Prenatal Care in High-Risk Pregnancies
Prenatal care is more than just health care in pregnancy. For the vast majority of women, pregnancy follows a routine course. Some women, however, have medical difficulties related to their health or the health of their baby. These women experience what is called a high-risk pregnancy. A pregnancy may be considered high-risk for a variety of reasons. Some of these include: diabetes, preeclampsi...
متن کاملThe Effects of Ultrasound-Guided Dry Needling on Patients With Myofascial Pain Syndrome: A Review Study
Objectives: Dry Needling (DN) is a novel and effective intervention for patients with Myofascial Pain Syndrome (MPS). Some characteristics, such as needle penetration depth, needle insertion into the target muscle, and trigger points must be identified in this intervention. The Ultrasound (US)-guided DN is a technique that involves needle insertion at the site of injury and the simulation of ti...
